"Beautiful Pembrokeshire Landscape and Seascape Paintings in oils"
Jon Houser is an Artist specialising in Pembrokeshire Landscape and Seascape paintings in oils. Based at Pembroke Dock, in West Wales, Jon gets the inspiration for his Art from the stunning Pembrokeshire Landscape. Its topography includes the natural deep water harbour of the Milford Haven Waterway, Daugleddau Estuary and the dramatic West Wales Coastline dotted with it’s alluring Sandy Beaches. Pembrokeshire is a very special place!
"My work is all about the Light in the Landscape, creating this Light through colour and tone"
To capture this light in paint, Jon makes oil and pencil sketches directly in front of the subject. These studies are then used as reference for the larger studio paintings. Jon also likes to paint Still Life and Flowers from his Pembroke Dock Studio.
Awarded Best “Plein Air painting” at the 2017 Fresh Paint Competition held by Picton Castle Studio’s and Fine Art Commissions London. Jon’s work is held in private collections world wide and at the National Library of Wales.
